An event for the creators and curious. 

Creative Industry professionals at all career levels, and those wanting to get their foot in the door, are invited to attend the newly revamped Industry Connect networking event, hosted as part of the 2023 SWIFF Create industry development program.

This year’s Industry Connect program includes a fireside chat between Australian actor Damon Herriman and SWIFF Festival Director Dave Horsley – about working with filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino, Breaking Bad’s Vince Gilligan, The Nightingale’s Jennifer Kent, and actors like Walton Goggins, Mia Wasikowski, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The fireside chat will be followed by a performance and technology demonstration by percussionist and instrument designer Alon Ilsar. The session ends with a networking opportunity to meet local and travelling creatives, to grow your professional network. 

We recommend also attending the Nextwave Youth Film Awards happening right before this event at CHEC (from 3pm), and see the big screen World Premieres of 28 of the best and brightest short films made by young filmmakers from across Australia.
