The SWIFF team are so thrilled to bring Storyland to Coffs Harbour after the April 2022 postponement due to la Nina playing silly buggers on music festivals across the East Coast.
So, with all this extra time the team have had to work on it, how is Storyland looking?
Short answer – Storyland is looking awesome.
What can you expect from Storyland in 2023? Here’s the first three of many big announcements coming.
1. Maybe TMI, but we scored ourselves a new date.
Saturday May 20th likes all the same stuff we do. Taking walks around Park Beach Reserve, listening to new Australian live music, drinking beer, looking at art and stuff. Totally crushing on May 20. We’re still friends with April 2022, but don’t talk as much these days.
2. When you hear your name, step forward from the line-up.
Hiatus Kaiyote. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. Ngaiire. Emma Donovan. Horns of Leroy.
Where’s Courtney Barnett and Hachiku?
Touring North America and globetrotting next May.
Who are you replacing them with?
A confirmed new secret headliner that’s going to blow your bloody socks off, announceable in January. More new music artists TBA too.
3. May 20 – one helluva housewarming party
Storyland hasn’t just got its own date outside of SWIFF, it’s got a new home all to itself. Due to sky high interest rates though, Storyland has decided to just stay renting for new over at it’s new address – www.slmf.com.au – at least until the market settles. Feels homely.
