Hey hey,
Saige from SWIFF here – here’s my top picks to fill a six pass (not that I could ever bear to only choose six films at a festival) at SWIFF’22. Movies are awesome, and this year I’m particularly loving how the selection goes from swoony sweetness like (Anais in Love) to absolute visual insanity (like Titane) – it keeps me on my toes.
See ya at the fest.

BLISS
Swoony romance, fantastic performances – absolutely vivid filmmaking. Dreamy as.
HIT THE ROAD
Heart, mind and soul fuel. The definition of a must-see.
FRIENDS AND STRANGERS
I’m living for this new Aussie spin on mumblecore – slacker cinema that trades in all the tropes for a honest, hilarious and slyly thought-provoking. Ripper.
WASH MY SOUL IN THE RIVERS FLOW
Ruby and Archie are the greatest love story of all time, full stop. Plus, director Phillipa Bateman and DP Bonnie Elliot have crafted something incredible here – moving the mark of what a music doco is and can be. Exceptional.
SHOWGIRLS
SAM AND MATTIE MAKE A ZOMBIE MOVIE
Rock on go wild!!! Not only is this the Aussie premiere of Sam and Mattie Make A Zombie Movie, you also get to watch their film, Spring Break Zombie Massacre – so it’s a two-fer & and bloody excellent one at that.
