ILI BARÉ · DIRECTOR · THE LEADERSHIP

Ili Baré is an award-winning director, writer and producer who has worked on over 50 hours of documentary and factual programming in the US, the UK and Australia. Her work has been variously reviewed as ‘extraordinary … powerful and potent, a real emotional revelation’; ‘brave and essential viewing’ and ‘unforgettable’. She is currently based in Sydney, Australia.

Ili will be attending the festival for the screening of her documentary The Leadership, taking place on Friday, the 23rd of April at 11am at CHEC Theatre. 

 
 
 

MADELINE STUART · MODEL · MADDY THE MODEL

Madeline Stuart is a worldwide phenomenon. She is a powerful advocate for inclusiveness and diversity in modelling.

At 24 years of age she is already a household name around the world, with over 850,000 social media fans following her successful campaign to become the first professional model with Down syndrome. 

Madeline will be attending the two screenings of her documentary Maddy the Model, taking place on Sunday the 18th of April at 1.15pm at CHEC Theatre, and Monday, the 19th of April at 11am at Jetty Memorial Theatre. 

RODERICK MACKAY · WRITER, DIRECTOR · THE FURNACE

Roderick MacKay is a Western Australian writer/director with a BA is visual Arts. His filmography demonstrates a cinematic sophistication and knack for immersive world building. Often in
the form of elevated genre, his stories feature complex characters, a multilayered tapestry of themes,
and an undercurrent of socio-political commentary.
In 2009-10, Roderick co-directed, produced, wrote and edited the short film Trigger – a neo-noir/drama
set in 1970s Italy, but made entirely in Western Australia. Trigger has received over 1.3M plays on Vimeo,
where it was selected for ‘Staff Picks’ and ‘Short of the Week’. 

Roderick will be attending the Opening Night screening of The Furnace, as well as the following night screening on Friday, the 16th of April at 6pm at CHEC Theatre
